WHO KNEW
…that Dungeons & Dragons would be entertaining? I didn’t, but it was a lot of fun.

TRIPOD
I got this today. My first tripod, finally. (It’s about time.) The center column can be turned horizontally, allowing for the camera to be supported at a minimum height of about 3.5 inches. It can also be used for other purposes, but none that are as cool.

CLOTHING
Apparently, Jim Thompson is a fan of pleated pants (from The Sartorialist). I just have to make it known that I have a severe dislike of pleated pants. While I am fond of classic looks, I think we should think about what actually looks good, and what doesn’t. Pleats only look good on obese southern lawyers in movies like Fried Green Tomatoes. Also, I want all women to be aware that shirts...

THIS SUMMER
I need to learn javascript and actionscript. I need to take pictures of people not named Emily. I need to read at least three novels. I need to go camping, and I need to play some kind of sport. It’s hot enough and it’s humid enough, so I say summer is here.

YOU KNOW YOU'RE A NERD WHEN
You enjoy watching the visual representation of your computer’s hard drive being defragmented. It’s just so cool how the one green mass is forming, but it sucks that it takes so long.

I WANT TO MAKE MUSIC
I don’t have a melody or anything to start with, but since when has that ever been an issue? Maybe I’ll start working on this over the weekend. Does anybody want to help? lacoste red from lacoste_red_collection on Vimeo.

I HAVE WORK TO DO
But I don’t want to do it. I’ve gotten into summer mode, and I don’t know how to get out. I think it may be time for camping, or something like that.

HANDKERCHIEF TURBANS
Today was not very productive, but I enjoyed it. I went on my first bicycle ride of the year, and then I surfed the blogosphere while listening to some great mixtapes. I wish this was my photograph.

COMETS
Several years ago, we were getting home late and saw something in the sky. My father parked the car, and we walked into the alley behind our old house to see a comet. Space has always intrigued me. It’s fascinating to speculate what might be up there. I don’t think I’ve ever become bored of just looking up at the night sky. I think the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen,...

BLOODY MOUTH
I was sitting in the chair, waiting for the oral surgeon to do his consultation. I could hear the doctor in the adjacent room telling his patient how sensitive the his mouth should be. “Don’t brush your teeth, because if you touch the roof of your mouth, it’s going to bleed.” No matter how comfortable that chair may be, listening to that conversation really made me want to...

PEOPLE
Sometimes, I just want to talk and talk and talk. Why? Because some people are so interesting. Have you ever been talking to someone and in the middle of the conversation you realized that there should be a camera filming everything? Charlie Rose has such a great job.

Aikido
I would love to take up aikido. Not only would the physical activity be good for me, as I usually sit in front of a computer all day, but I’ve always found the philosophy behind aikido to be quite interesting. It’s all about defense, and not about attack. I’m not sure how I found out about it, but a few years ago I read The Way of Aikido and I’ve been interested since. ...

WISDOM
About the only wise thing I did today was call the dentist to confirm that I need to get my wisdom teeth removed. My upper-right wisdom tooth is in and has been irritating my cheek in a way that makes it impossible for me to chew or drink without feeling pain.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
I started cleaning my room today, and while I did organize a lot of stuff, it looks absolutely the same. It’s going to take me a long, long time. I watched about ten minutes of 24 on Hulu today. I couldn’t stand how terrible the acting was. Hasn’t anyone ever noticed that? The acting is truly awful.

READY FOR THE WEEKEND
Throughout the week, I’ve been told by multiple people on several occasions that I’m weird. I mean, at least I know it. It’s been the weekend in my head for about two days now, but Friday is finally here, and I’m so relieved. I have no plans for the weekend, but it’s still a relief.

I FORGOT
I was going to post before midnight, but I got busy watching Reno 911. That’s a very good excuse, in my mind. I drove downtown today to meet someone to go film an orchestra rehearsal. When we were done filming, we packed all of the equipment back into his car and he drove me home. I knew I was forgetting something, but I couldn’t figure out what. After I had walked up the driveway...

UP IN THE AIR
I was asked today what I wanted to do after college. I don’t have a definite answer. Here’s what I don’t want to do: work at a restaurant do construction drive a taxi The list could go on, but I think the point has been made. I know that I want to continue with photography, whether it be professionally or not, but I just want to do something that is fulfilling. The only...

TIME FOR THUNDER
I decided I wouldn’t force myself to post over the weekends, but I realize that was a poor decision. I’m through with finals, marking an end to the semester. It went well, although it was difficult to write out code by hand having the crazy-sex addict girl sitting next to me. (I don’t know if she’s truly addicted, but that’s just the feeling I get when I see...
